Then, with Noel and Peter (cousin), I caught a ferry from Split in Croatia to Ancona in Italy and then a train to Bologna where I am now. Tomorrow I transfer to Orta San Giulio for what should be another great tour.
More in a few days.

Fourteen of us from Ireland, the UK, Germany, Slovenia and of course Australia gathered on Croatia's central Dalmatian coast island of Krapanj on 22 August. Over the next week we swam approx 20 km in gloriously clear, warm, blue waters around the local islands free of sharks, crocs, stingers and rips. It was absolutely wonderful! The final swim was 3.4k around Krapanj Island. It wasn't a race but one can't always help oneself sometimes. I came second, just behind a 30 year old Brit. Another 50m and I would have had him.
